We engage in many second mile projects as well. Our support of mission ministries the world over means that the gifts we give at Forest Chapel are able to reach out to people in need everywhere. We also support local mission projects in the following ways: S.O.U.L. Ministries - Forest Chapel joins other local churches to support a food pantry for our community, which serves families in need. Members participate by donating food, money, and helping with food buying and distribution. Interfaith Hospitality Network - Interfaith Hospitality Network is a metropolitan area program that provides food and housing for homeless families in the Cincinnati area. Forest Chapel opens its doors 5 or 6 times per year to provide hospitality. Members participate by providing food, cooking meals, and acting as hosts to our guest families. Parkdale Home - This mission provides a foster home for troubled young women in our area. Volunteers provide food, clothing, and gifts for the residents and home parents. Chapel Creations - Chapel Creations is a church and home handcrafts workshop dedicated to raising money for missions. Members meet to make crafts which are sold at several bazaars each year. The annual dinner and sale is a popular event in the church. Homework Helpers - On Tuesday evenings from September through May, volunteers help students in our community with homework and offer our computer lab for research, word processing, and access to educational websites. Students come on a drop-in basis and volunteers provide support in a variety of subject areas. Forest Chapel Nursery School - The Forest Chapel Nursery School, certified by the National Academy of Early Childhood Programs, is staffed with licensed teachers.
